GENERAL PURPOSE: Operate the mechanical sheet feeder and assist the press operator with the setup, repair, and maintenance of the press.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Sets up and operates the mechanical press feeder ensuring it runs efficiently during press operations.
- Assists the press operator in the mounting of plates, blankets, and other equipment.
- Reviews job ticket and selects the appropriate paper or material, inspects for defects, load and unload materials and maintain continuous feeding.
- Moves loads of printed and unprinted stock when necessary.
- Handle ink levels, water fountain solutions and perform adjustments during runs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the press are and manage waste disposal.
- Follow safety rules and complete required documentation accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills
- Attention to detail
This is a 3rd shift position
